I DO NOT use PayPal in my business and never will. At this time a customer is trying
to get her money back from PayPal. I have not accepted her payment and will not accept any payment through PayPal!
PayPal will not honor her request for returning her money to her. She has been told that
I have accepted her money which is not true.
Last week I purchased two items and there was no other way to pay except with PayPal. That is the
reason you have my credit information as this
was to be a personal account for buying.
I am unable to find a PayPal phone number or an address to send an email, so can you
PLEASE CANCEL MY ACCOUNT, REMOVE MY NAME AND CREDIT INFORMATION FROM YOUR SITE!
IN ADDITION PLEASE SEND BACK THE MONEY TO
THE NICE LADY!
You have an active account since you paid for two items. I would recommend logging in on the account and simply sending the money back to the user.
You can then request to close the account by logging in against the web site, going to help, and then to contact customer service. Your account will be closed shortly thereafter.
I am a little curious---why wouldn't you want to use the account or leave it open? I just like to find out where customer concerns are.
Feel lucky, 2 seconds ago I read where PayPal took money from a persons account and charged them a fee. http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=349949
Since Damon did not answer you question here is the information you requested.
PayPal
P.O. Box 45950
Omaha, NE 68145
Toll Free Phone: (888) 221-1161
You can log in and go to About US found at the bottom of the screen and then Contact US from the Left side of the screen. You will find this information and in there there as drop down box you can select close account.
This might be because I am a business account but it is a place to start.
I feel sorry for you, I have had my bad experience with then also.
Jim
Changed a few of the spelling mistakes

Paypaldamon: I use BidPay for my auctions sales and PayPal only when it is necessary for a purchase. I do not want the problems
of receiving money on a PayPal account. Thank
you for your help.
lanefamily: Jim, thank you for the information as it was what I needed.
posted on March 22, 2001 01:04:12 AMGaylene, Paypaldamon should probably clarify these points, 'cause I'm not sure I'm 100% correct:
1. If you close your PayPal account, you can never reopen it. (I don't know if they search by name/address, bank account number, or credit card number--or a combination of the three).
2. If you want to keep it open for "emergencies" but don't want to receive payments from Neanderthal bidders who don't read your TOS, try changing the e-mail address associated with PayPal (to hotmail, yahoo, etc.). That way, if someone sends money to the e-mail linked to eBay, it won't go into the PayPal account.
Customer accounts that were in good standing when they left are free to open another account, but they are not free to open up multiple personal accounts.
Item 2 is a good recommendation. Change the email alias or delete the original email address so you don't receive payments automatically.
