My daughter just started selling.
She did her description on an item, thought it correct, let it go. Started it low, now its getting quite a few bids.
I've been doing this for 4 years, and never ran into this type of problem.
She needs to contact all bidders? I know she at least needs to contact the high bidder.
She needs to revise description, but will the system let you with bidders on it?
I'm at a loss here, as this is a pretty major mistake. There is a crack in it, that she didn't see when she put it up.

My suggestion is that she cancel all the bids and end the auction, email the bidders and explain why she had to do that, and start over from scratch. It sounds like a substantial mistake, I don't think she should just let the auction run. Even if she "adds to description" about the crack, not all the bidders might get information in time to retract their bid.
This actually happened to me about a year ago. Instead of ending the auction I just added to the description and emailed the bidders. Unfortunately, one of the bidders only had Internet access from work and didn't get the email until Monday, by then the auction had already ended.
