Right after one of my auctions ended, the high bidder emailed me and said they bid on my item at the last minute, and mistakenly thought it was for a sheet set, not a pillowcase like I stated in my auction. They asked nicely if I could just offer it to the next highest bidder. I did that and the next highest bidder was a great customer (and very happy- this is the first time that I have ever had a 2nd highest bidder ever accept!).
Anyway, the point of this rambling is that I would like to leave the 2nd highest bidder their much-deserved positive feedback. Is there a way that I can do this? This has never come up for me before!

If you REALLY want to leave this person glowing feedback you can do this:
Tell the 2nd highest bidder that you are going to re-list the item that he just bought. Then re-list it with a "Buy It Now" price of say 5¢. Tell your buyer to IMMEDIATELY click the "Buy It Now" button to end the auction. Then you can leave feedback for each other. Of course this will cost you 30¢. And it isn't without risk. If another bidder beats your buyer to the punch, you'll be on the hook for an item that you don't have. I guess it just depends on how much you REALLY want to leave feedback for the buyer.

dubyasdamon- thanks- it never occurred to me to do that. I would love to leave her positive feedback, but that sounds a bit too complicated and risky! It would be just my luck to have someone else bid on it!!!
