Everybody, thank you for reading my tale of woe. I feel like I've been emotionally assaulted. Why? Ok, I'll fess up. I had 450k worth of expertly fine-tuned bookmarks specifically geared for ebay searches that are totally botched up now, due to the changes in the ebay search system!
Much like the other hapless victim in the other related thread, I have carefully amassed hundreds of specific ebay searches,
relative to the area I specialize in. This Netscape bookmark file of mine has made it possible for me to make a some nice money (no kidding), and I've religiously backed it up after each internet session for as long as I can remember.
Short of starting from scratch or quit being an ebay buyer altogether, does anyone have any tips how to salvage the situation? I was actually contemplating making a scratch copy of my bookmarks, then using a word processor to remove any keys that are offending the new ebay search engine. (Such as removing the ( or quotation marks, etc).
Just when I thought I already didn't have enough time, I now have before me a project that makes the Y2K problem look like winning the lotto. Oh, well. Cross your fingers for me. If adjusting my bookmarks is successful, I'll post the results.

Everyday I come here and find something new. If it isn't to hard please explain the tags. I don't understand. That looks like a foreign language. Thanking you in advance.
I'm looking for books by and about missionaries, trying to exclude various CDs and LPs, auctions funding modern mormom missionary trips, an RPG with a missionary character, the USA Civil war battle on "Missionary Ridge", and a seller who is raising money for missionaries ...
http://search-desc.ebay.com/search/search.dll is the URL for where the eBay search program resides
?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&SortProperty=MetaNewSort (tells it to sort from newest to oldest)
&query= (the actual query follows ... what I type in the box) The %2A stuff is filling the spaces and the + and - signs in the search string.

Thanks a bunch for answering. I have been around for about 2 years and I see I have still a lot to learn. Good luck in your searching.
