Hey everyone, I was wondering if anybody else out there has been having problems with WebTV email addresses. I have been trying to reach a few buyers for the past 3 weeks and have not been able to get an email to them. Every one I send to a WebTV address always comes back with this:

This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:
Your message was not delivered because the destination computer was
not reachable within the allowed queue period. The amount of time
a message is queued before it is returned depends on local configura-
tion parameters.
Most likely there is a network problem that prevented delivery, but
it is also possible that the computer is turned off, or does not
have a mail system running right now.
Your message was not delivered within 4 days.
Host webtv.net is not responding.

Please let me know if any of you are also having this problem or if you know of a way to fix this. Thanks a bunch

I have the same problem and the message doesn't come back to me for at least a week. I receive their messages but they don't receive mine. Whenever I get a webTV user I use my Yahoo account and only use it via the web not through my Pop account.

Hello Chris - We have a PC and a webtv unit, which we've used for 3 years. This can be happening for a number of reasons. On webtv we can put a 'spam filter' up that seems to block certain ISPs that webtv has had a lot of previous spam problems with. For example, if I have our spam filter on, I cannot get emails from AOL sellers/buyers.
It also can be because webtv does have different times when they are 'upgrading' and many things seem to go haywire then. Also webtv does have times, just like any ISP, where they go down.
I used to recommend, as it worked for me, sellers & buyers send their emails through ebays 'mail this auction to a friend'. Those always made it through. But I believe now, ebay has made that function unavailable to users after the auctions ends. (I haven't tried it lately.)
As marlenedz has recommended, if you have a free email account use that to reach them.
If all else fails - call 1-800-gowebtv and report the problem to them.

WebTV has blocked most if not all of the Road Runner domains. There is a web site somewhere with the complete list of the domains that WebTV is blocking due to "spam".
It is up to the WebTV user to call them and complain about the blocking.
The last WebTV user/bidder I had couldn't get any of my emails sent via my RR mail. I had to use my Yahoo Mail to reach them.
