Hi, Is anybody having trouble still using road runner with slowness on ebay but great on other websites. It's been doing this for over a week. First it was suppose to be ebay and then they went down last night. Now road runner support says there is a "issue" with them in certain areas which I think is the whole east coast. Let me know how your doing, Thanks.

I used RR's online chat with 2 different support people today. One said the issue was between eBay and Exodus...that eBay had a "ticket" open with Exodus and were working on the problem with them. Whatever that means.

The other said that there was a "latency" issue...and it was eBay's problem.

Of course, the last I read, eBay says the problem is all RR's.

I don't know enough about these things to know who or what to believe.

I'm in Mass...it's a little better this afternoon...but, not much.

I called eBay and they said it was RoadRunner.
I called RR and they said it was between eBay and Exodus and AT&T only.

I've had Snail speed for over a week. I was hoping it would be resolved by now.
I can get into everything at a fast pace.....EXCEPT eBay.

We are on RR in Ohio. I was away all weekend, but last night did a couple of searches on eBay. It was terribly slow and I gave up looking. Today it seems fine.

RR in general has been sluggish for about 2 months. You just get "Spin" if you call, but they will give billing credit per day if you ask for it. We always do.

Meya...

I never thought to ask for a credit. Did you get one just for not being able to access eBay?

Arghhhhhh! I spoke too soon about getting around on eBay! Slowwwwwww, yikes!

As far as credit goes, whenever we call to complain about slow speeds, we will ask them to credit our account. It seems that if they have had other calls about the same time and the same type of problem, they are fairly good about giving the credit.

I've never brought up specific trouble with just certain sites though, and we didn't call this weekend since we were not home.

Thanks for this thread! I have RR in FLA and Ebay has been excruciatingly slow! I never thought it was just me, figured it was Ebay for everyone. I will call RR next time this happens, thanks for the tip.

BTW I just checked, and my speed seems to be better now at Ebay.

Thanks, Meya. Obviously they're working on the problem. Mine's still okay (for now, anyway)...hope yours will be fixed soon......
