Being a coward, I've been holding back on downloading Seller's Assistant.

Yet, glancing at the help boards this morning, they still appear clogged with frustrating issues.

Can anyone share their optimism or frustrations...thanks...

Hi thepriest,

I've used Auction Assistant & recently moved over to Seller's Assistant.

I've encountered very few problems which weren't from my own entry of incorrect data. Keeping up w/the patches is a bit frustrating but I just run the check latest version listing every few days.

Many of the early problems listed on the Blackthorne discussion board were from people beta testing SAB & SAP. I'm not saying ALL the problems have been worked out but it's working like a charm for me & the new version has some great improvements over the old.

I never used the AW listing program or any of the others out there so I can't tell you how it compares to them.

They have a trial download so you might try it & see if it suits your needs.

Good luck.

I've been using AAClassic for over a year and intend to change over to SA for, at least, the free year.

Like with most s/w upgrades, I prefer to wait until the have been out for awhile before making the change but understand I have to subscribe to SA by the end of the month to get the "free year".

Planning to make the change in the next few days and just hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Maybe we will all know more next week. I have been concerned by some of the reported problems but also encouraged by replies from some users that things are working out.

I would just as well use the old (AAClassic) s/w for another month until everything has had a chance to settle down but I don't see that I have that option.

I have heard that the Blackthorne boards have been a better source of user help than eBay and plan to use them as needed.

Good luck to all of us.

I switched from AA Classic to SA Basic and it has been a nightmare. Neither of the programs will now function. AA Classic will no longer retrieve the winning bidders email and SA Basic will not send email notices to winning bidders. It is darn near impossible to get any assistance with it. The support on eBay is clueless and have not had a decent response on Blackthorne's support board.

I am currrently tring out Auction Watch to see if I can get back into the flow of listing items.

Think twice befrore switching...

Hi.
Today they put out fixes for the Auction Assistant Classic and Pro to fix the email address problem. I still prefer Auction Assistant Classic to SA Basic.
http://www.blackthornesw.com/bthome/aacupg.htm for Basic or http://www.blackthornesw.com/bthome/aaproupg.htm for Pro
