Here is a heads-up if you've had recent problems with BidPay as I have.

Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2001 13:42:18 -0500

Dear Abcdefg ;

We have received a number of complaints about the orders we processed
on
March 8th and after an extensive investigation have learned that there
was
indeed a serious error with this batch.

We use a high security bank check printing company because of the
volume of
orders we process every day and these are then picked up by the United
States
Postal Service truck and delivered to the sorting center.

We can't make excuses for this, but you are entitled to an explanation
of
why this problem happened.

The pallet containing the orders for 3/8/01 was mislabeled at the
Postal
Sorting Center and it was neither sorted or sent.

We were contacted by Postal Inspectors (after our continued complaints)
and
they discovered the error.

ALL OF THESE PAYMENTS ARE BEING MAILED FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING
"Tuesday March 27th" and should reach you within the next three or four
days.

We are VERY SORRY that this happened and in over two years this has
never
happened to us before and want to assure you that we are taking steps
to
ensure that if NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.

We are sending a copy of this notice to all your affected buyers as
well.

As many of you know, BidPay "absolutely" guarantees the payment to the
seller
so if any of you are holding your customers shipments pending getting
this
payment PLEASE RELEASE THE ITEM AT ONCE so as not to cause any further
delay
for our mutual customers.

We want to thank you for your past business and look forward to being
of
service in the future and once again, we are very sorry that this
problem
took place.

Yours truly,
BidPay.com

Reason number 1,143,749 why the United States Post office should be labeled inadequate.

At least BidPay had the courtesy to write with a full explanation of the situation. I find the service to be excellent, I've used them over the last year for close to 50 transactions, never a problem. I've just started using them to buy as well, smooth as silk.

I got one also.

I've had a customer emailing me frantically several times a day asking if I received his bidpay payment. One reason I don't ship until the money (order) is in my hands.

On a positive note, since I discontinued Paypal I'm getting LOTS of bidpay payments and no complaints so far. Let me tell you, I feel much better about a Western Union money order, without worrying what Paypal will do with access to my checking account. Once burned, twice shy, and all that. I LOVE bidpay!
