Thanks for the feedback.

I had a customer accuse me of inaccurately depicting the sunglasses. He said the photograph showed them as being black, when my ad description identifies them as Olive Patena.

I've sold over 400 pairs without problem until now.

I've offered an exchange of refund, but am dealing with a newbie who has quite the attitude.

Any suggestions?

His monitor may be set to display things in darker tones than most... I recently ran into that problem with my monitor. I was creating graphics which looked great to me, but too light to everyone else. I adjusted my monitor settings and saw the problem!

Offering an exchange or refund, as you said, seems like a reasonable thing to do and I'm not sure there are many other options to pacify this tough customer. It sounds like you're doing everything right. What more could he want rather than a refund or an exchange? Anything beyond that would be unreasonable.

If he's not willing to accept a refund then ignore him. He's just trying to cause a fuss.

They look black to me. He should've asked about that before his bid, not after.

Is the sun shining anywhere?

I'd like to think there's a market for my product, but Chicago doesn't seem to require sunglasses these days.

It's rainy and grey in Seattle today. However, I've heard that we have one of the highest sunglasses ownership ratios per capita in the country.

Ah, there's hope...

Californians always do seem to come through for us.

Now I know why I don't ship much to Seattle...

They look Olive Green

But if you stated the color in your listing,
there should be no problem even if his compu.
shows it a different color.

Thanks again for the reassurance.

I managed to work out an exchange arrangement with the buyer. He's going to take another style of sunglasses.

By the way, he admitted to me that he failed to carefully read the ad and look at the picture.

Isn't it amazing how we seller's are often accused of being at fault in these situations and that regardless of the cooperative attititudes we take, it is never enough to appease these occassional buyers?

It's my beleif that these types of consumers belong either at Toys R Us or Neiman Marcus, denpending on their age.

Just venting...
