Yes, the freight could easily run over $200.00. It all depends on the method of shipment, distance, discount and several other factors.

Assuming 1/2 lb each (which is generous) and the media mail chart with assuming 8 boxes of 70 lbs each (also generous) I came up with 183.00. Now at my post office they consider books to be 'bound printed matter' and it comes out way cheaper every time over a certain weight (usually a couple of pounds). In a nutshell, I would questions it or at least help the seller come up with a better rate. But it will still cost ya.

Hi again,
I took a gander at the auction, same seller has 500 historical romances which tend to be larger paperbacks and the shipping is 60.00, so he should theoretically be able to ship your 1000 for 120.00 no??
