I can only get about half the new announcement page loaded and when I try to get anywhere else I'm getting the "NETWORK ERROR" message.
I've tried both my browsers, Netscape & IE.

Anyone else having problems?

Someone in the DNF board is having problems getting through on a DSL connection... used an anonymizer (I think that's right) and situation improved...

I'm getting in just fine. I am in Vegas and on a cable modem and haven't had any problems today.

I'M in IOWA and everything is DEAD!

Network error
Unable to request URL from host listings.ebay.com:80: Operation timed out

NO - my ebay
NO - category search
I can search from the home page but it times out before I can get any where.

I can get a page up with bookmark(loading it took forever) but can't go anywhere from it.

If I'm the only one having problems then what could it be?

I'm sorry Packer, that's lousy. Could it be your ISP? Can you call them?

Hi toke,
Everything else on the net is running fine.
I have no problems here on AW and I did some search on Netscape and everything loaded just fine.
Its ONLY ebay that is giving me a fit.
Its like they trying to block me.

*sigh*

packar I hear tell that up here in NY Upstate area the servers are reconfiguring DSL and experiencing issues. Sluggish here too!
The below is not consistant with ebay's annuncement board. Someone (like I will) tell them -they're wrong. And, to read the announcement board themselves.

What ever it was, the problem must have been ebay's.
Its running fine now. Everything is loading as it should.
You'll never see them admit it though, they just let you think the problem is on our end. So we spend the whole day worrying that something is going haywire with the computer.
Gheesh!

In L.A. Haven't been able to leave feedback for the past few hours. On and off this afternoon, I bring up search items but get "page cannot be displayed" error whenever I click on anything. Not completely down but annoying.

Me thinks eBay is reconfiguring the system. Those of you have connection, go try and click on the announcement link at the bottom of eBay pages. It takes you to the Overview page. You then have make a choice as to what announcements you want to see. Click on "see all announcements" and you will find some that have been gone for awhile!

Ebay's Announcement board must crap out at the same time their system goes down. I only takes them 4 days to make the announcement and hey! that's good time for them nowadays. Counting cash is hard work afterall... [ edited by Empires on Mar 31, 2001 03:48 AM ]

I've been up ALL night while the rest of you sleepyheads were blissfully snoozing away.

wondefulBay has been a virtual doorknob almost the entire time. Couldn't even get the Announcements for over an hour. Then the "new" version came up.

Who even cares anymore???

I live in Missouri, using a 56K modem, and as of April 1 at 5:30 p.m. -- I've not been able to get on for almost 24 hours. This is maddening! It sounds like a regional problem, which is very unfair to some of us regarding bidding!!! This is the first place I've found mention of a problem.
