Well, there is finally a new announcement on eBay regarding the relist fiasco; however, I can't make heads nor tails of it's meaning.

It states

A. "we cannot automatically identify which items were relisted"

and in the same paragraph states "

B. "so we will provide eligible sellers an estimated credit based upon each seller’s relist history and the number of eligible items they listed between March 14 and March 20"

Now my question is this. If they don't know "A" how can they know "the number of eligible Items" in "B"?

The following paragraph states "In addition to providing eligible sellers with the automatic credit", so I get the impression we are not going to be sending them anything. This same paragraph also states,

"all sellers who attempted to relist an item between March 14 and March 20 may relist those very same items and be eligible for a relist credit".

Does this mean we can relist the original auctions or the relisted auctions that didn't sell.

If anybody can translate this eBayspeak, I will be grateful.

Oh! My favorite part of the post:

"Please note that even though you may be eligible to receive a relist credit, you are still responsible for paying your current eBay invoice amount in full. Your relist credits will be applied to your account no later than May 15, 2001 and will be reflected on your eBay invoice."

Now that part I DO understand!

edited to stave off the spelling police.

My plan is to wait and see how much credit they provide me.

I will then send an email to Billing detailing the transactions that I was due credit for (which I did compile prior to their announcment telling sellers NOT to do that). I'll thank them for the credit provided, and ask that the remainder due to be applied to my account ASAP.

Their "bonus" of relisting again does me no good - most of the items I had relisted sold the second time - the reason they owe me a good chunk of change.
