OK..check this out..it is too weird! I mailed 4 video tapes to a buyer..all from the same TV series. She emailed me a week later and said that I must have gotten her package mixed up with someone elses because she got 2 of the videos she won from me but instead of the remaining 2..she got 2 other videos from another childrens show that I never even owned! She has a high feedback record so I really dont believe she was trying to put one over on me..she actually accepted the entire package and didnt want a refund and ended up leaving wonderful feedback for me. What the heck could have happend to this package en route? She did say it was pretty beat up.

Here's one possible scenario. Somebody (either at the post office or a private party) opened the package and took out what they wanted...and replaced it with the two odd videos. They resealed the box and just dropped it back in the mail. I've had plenty of mail come through without a cancellation mark on the stamps, so it's possible to do this.

Definitely strange!

I got a package from UPS (not USPS) one day and it was obviously broken open and there was nothing inside. I gave it back to the driver, and he said he'd take care of it. 2 days later the package was delivered again, this time it was taped up, so I accepted it, but inside here was a remote control? Not what was suppsed to be in there. Anyway I gave it back and eventually UPS reimbursed the shipper, and since I was on account with them I had never paid for the item anyway.

Here's another odd one. Got a box from UPS at work containing office supplies ordered from Reliable. Box and tape is pristine. Inside is our order...and a box addressed to someone else in a nearby city from Amazon! I called the person to let him know but he was 76 and didn't want to drive to get it. I called UPS and told them they couldn't be tracking the Amazon box too well since it was inside of ours. They couldn't figure it out...the packages had come from two different "hubs" according to the tracking #s. A mystery!

I was driving down the street one day not too long ago and happened to be behind a UPS truck--all of a sudden the back door swung open and packages all over the street. Driver didn't even know it happened. When I finally got his attention, he rushed back and threw the stuff in back--then climbed in behind it. We will never know what happened inside that truck but it can maybe help explain some of the weird things we find.

I have since learned that leaving the back door unlatched is a firing offense for UPS drivers so they really don't want anyone to know if it happens.

The same thing happened to me as well. I had shipped something small in one of the priority mail video boxes. My buyer emailed me after it arrived and told me that his item wasn't in the box, instead a video on car repair was in there. I thought I was going nuts! We never even owned such a video so I don't know how it ever got in that box! Obviously something happened at the post office! Needless to say, I had to send a refund, and I wasn't happy about that, but the buyer had great feedback, so I believed him!
