I have an odd situation. Some of my auctions closed last night, and this morning, as I attempted to contact one of the buyers, the message kept bouncing. I finally sent a message through the normal channels of ebay, and the guy replied that of course I couldn't reach him because ebay "won't let any of us use the @ sign anymore."

Oddly, his message from ebay had the @ sign.

I think he'll pay all right, so I'm not worried about that - yet!

But do I owe ebay a heads-up on this? They are still listing the guy's email address as a string of letters and periods, with no @sign anywhere, on the auction pages.

Or do I just let it go?

What I'm afraid of is that ebay will contact him somehow and make this a negative situation coming from me, the seller, and it will rile up this buyer.

What would you do? ~Adele
