I just tried to get the email address for the high bidder on an auction (not yet ended) which I'm running with a reserve. The reserve hasn't been met, and eBay won't give me the email address. Their policy states that sellers have access to all bidders' email addresses. It's not true! Grr...

Yeah, that seems to be part of their game plan to preclude off line sales...sucks, huh?

Yeah, that does suck! I don't usually run reserve auctions so I don't anticipate it being a regular problem, but geez! They're getting pretty tight-@ssed over there, aren't they?

Had that happen to me, too. What I did was check to see if the bidder was also a seller. Sure enough he was and listed his email addy as part of his description. Problem solved. You might want to try it.
