All of the sudden I cannot send mail with Eudora. I am getting an error message I can not find reference to on the web. :
"could not open the attachment file C:/progam files / Qualcomm/Eudora/embedded/aswrule131.gif"

Are you trying to send a message with an image in the body of the email? The error message sounds like it's looking for an embedded image but can't find it.

Great guess! I deleted the mail it was stuck on and tried to send a new clean, empty one to myself and got the same error.
I am at a loss. This started out of the blue sky. I have downloaded the patch and also the entire 5.0.2 over again and same error.
I am ready to give up and go back to outlook.
Anyone know where to find my old mail so I can import.
I don't want to do this, but I am at a complete loss. VeryModern Space Junk

What if you were to create a blank image, something like a white dot 1 pixel x 1 pixel in size, make it into a gif and stick it into your Embedded folder with the name aswrule131.gif? Then maybe Eudora would find it and you could trick it into working again.

RainyBear! Never mind. You are right, hoooooooray!
It must have been something weird in the mail I was trying to reply to.
I am back up, thank you! VeryModern Space Junk

Just saw you last RainyBear, thanks again. I tip my hat to the way you can think.
I would not have dreamed that up in 15 years...

Good, I'm glad you got it all straightened out! I'd hate to see someone switch from Eudora to the dreaded MS Outlook because of weird errors.
