Hi

I have been using auctionwatch templates, however, have read that maybe they are difficult for some viewers to load.

Any comments on templates vs. blank template?

Thanks so much,
Jeff

I been listing on yahoo and ebay for nearly two years now and have used many auction manageing services and templets for my auctions.

Templets dont slow down the page load enough to notice But the size and number of JPGS or Gifs picture does.

The only people I have heard Complain about templets slowing down page loading are the same ones that are yelling that these services are now chargeing to use them.

Fact is the templets give auction listing a look and feel of organization and in most cases incresses the chances of your listing getting a bid.

also the Universal search features these services offer incress your auction visabilty your listing gets seen by many who would might not other wise search the auction venue where your Item is listed.

so even if you are giveing up a few tenth of a second in page load time your auction looks better and is more likely being read and seen then if you just put up a plain white and black listing with a picture.

all the people who are complaining about the credit card service auction management services, templates slowing down load time are the same people who spread the word about these services to us not more then a year ago saying they were the best thing to happen to online auction since sliced bread when they were free.

I dont subcribe to or listen to the the wafleing opinions floating around no more I just use and do what works best for my sales.

MY Moto if its working why fix it, I mean look isnt that how big business works they are doing something that worked well and made them a big wealthy company then they spend trying to fix it one day you wake up to read they filed chapter 11 because they fixed it there product so well it dont sell no more.

Hi Jeff,

Personally, I like templates as long as the colors aren't too distracting and there's nothing dancing around.

I think they make the ad look more polished. At the very least, I think a little bit of HTML can make auctions look nice even without a template.

But I know a lot of folks here disagree and find the templetes slow and distracting.
