I was wondering if these "emmy videos" are illegal or not. I think I saw that they are supposedly not allowed on ebay, but I was wondering if it was a crime like copyright infringement to buy and sell these. If it is, what's the potential punishment? Thanks.

As a very general rule, consider if the creator of the content is getting (or once got) any portion of what you, yourself, are paying for the item. If no, then it's likely violating a copyright.

As an even better rule, read what ebay says about these. They are illegal to sell but ebay looks the other way. The problem if you get caught is you have to name all people who bought them. The show lawyers then go after the buyers. It's like buying stolen goods.

I absoulty agree with Juggheadd it's considered like buying goods from a thief.
