The answer is...
YES!
Your license is proof to the PO that you r YOU! Therefore you can drop off packages in mailboxes (in your zip area assigned to you only), without the weight restrictions that mere mortals fall under (the Unabomber is to blame for this fun)!

I would like to add one little bit to tomwiii's info that I had a hard time figuring out.
They do have a rule that states you have to drop off the packages at your issuing post office. This is a pain for me as my issuing post office is in the opposite direction of my daily commute - but there is a PO on the way, albeit 30 miles away from the issuing post office.
Many emails to stamps.com support and USPS email addresses went unanswered. I finally found, buried in the middle of a Federal Register entry, that you are allowed to drop a "handful" of IBI packages at other post offices. (But apparently NOT regular metered items!)
"Handful" is the official USPS term used in the Federal register. I have been interpreting that as 10 or fewer.
