Why is my bid price not changing when a new bid has just been placed ( for example, item has 10 bids at $86.00 all day and now a new bid has been placed making a total of 11 bids still at bid price of $86.00). This has happened before on another item I had listed.

Did the high bidder place a larger proxy bid? This would not change the hig bid.

Thanks Greg, That's probably right. It was undoubtly a proxy bid. Thanks, Larry

I would think also that the bid count would change but the not the bid amount if the same bidder was bidding against themselves to raise their own proxy higher.

Ummm..is this a reserve auction?....If not, then the bid amount SHOULD change, unless u have a bunch of "newbies" bidding below the auction price..even IF it is reserve, the amount should still change, or the bid would not be accepted in the first place!
More likely sandvet's scenario...high bidder is raising proxy.
