In my years on line I have gotten all sorts of unreal questions, but got one yesterday that just blew me away.

A customer wrote wanting to know where his item was. I replied that it had been shipped.

He wrote back, that he had moved since he gave us his address and wanted to know why his package hadn't arrived at his new address that he didn't give us?

P.S. I suggested to him that he check with his local Postal Service.

JEEZ!!!!!!

I can't believe how many stupid people there are in the world.

I hope he filled out a card at the post office about the address change.
I think if he did that it might take a few extra days to redirect.
Didn't he know he was moving when he gave you the old address? Couldn't he say hold off shipping until he moves and give you the new address?

It's really not all that weird. When you move, you fill out a change of address card.
The post office is supposed to forward your mail to your new address. But its an extra, manual step for them and it takes time.

If all went right, he'll be getting his package soon. If not, you'll get it back as undeliverable - moved - no forwarding address.

I received an angery letter from a buyer's wife who told me that I must immediately stop selling sunglasses to her husband.

Believe it or not, this guy was a sunglass junkie and would buy multiple pairs of sunglasses from us each week when he got his check. She finally put her "heels" down and thwarted his obcessive buying habit. God, I miss him...

I assume you have your return address on the package. It should be returned to you if it doesn't go to him. You might see about going to your Post Office and filing a lost mail report on the item if you don't get a return. If not, I suspect he's already gotten it, or someone failed to forward it back to the PO. Yes, there are some exceptionally dense bidders on ebay. I have to deal with them too.

I've had different people "yell" at me for sending to the address they gave me when they have moved, or were away at college, and gave me their home address and wanted it shipped to school but never told me. I just added a clause in my TOS saying that the address you give me is the one I ship to.
