Here's an option I'd love to see added to eBay's Search feature. Instead of just being able to include words you don't want to show up in your search [i.e., by putting a "-" in front of those words], how about letting us include SELLERS we don't want to show up in our search?
If I've had a bad experience with a particular seller, or if I think they have unreasonable terms and don't want to do business with them, or if they are listing thousands of items that I don't want and use "key words" that I'm searching on, etc., I want the ability to filter ALL their listings from my search results. Right now, I have to try to find some "unique" words that they use in every listing and exclude those words from my searches, but that can accidentally exclude other sellers who just happen to use that same word.
Anybody else think this would be a good thing? Or do you think it would be somehow "unfair" to sellers to allow bidders to be able to block them? Personally, I think that giving bidders the ability to block sellers would give sellers a greater incentive to provide better customer service, and the only sellers who would have to worry would be those who DON'T do so.

I would love to see a feature that allows you to add a seller to a list. Using this list you would not see that seller's auctions anywhere, searching, browsing whatever. Put a button next to the seller's id in the auction that allows you to add them to your list.

I doubt that eBay could implement such a feature from a practical point of view -- but BOY!! do I agree with your philosophy.
Some sellers insist on bulk-uploading their BRAND NEW merchandise (or reproductions that are marketed with "weasel words" in the VINTAGE categories, making it very cumbersome to browse those listings . . . .
Sellers who clutter up their listings with so much music and animated gifs, templates and other "schtuff" that causes my browser to heave and groan in pain . . . .
Sellers who don't know how to properly evaluate their merchandise but refuse returns because they can't BELIEVE they could have made a mistake, or they just don't care . . . ."an auction is an auction."

I wish I could also block sellers even though I am one. There is someone who competes with me who lists over 1,000 auctions at a time with the same description info. Yet when I view this seller's auctions, he/she is not making sales so I'm obsessed with finding out what the gimmick is.
I go to my handly supplier catalog and see this person has listed his/her stuff at 10 times the wholesale price!Am I insane or what? Short of getting questions from potential bidders to point them to another web site where they can get same item for less $$, I dunno what gives!
The gimmick must be working else this person couldn't afford to keep listing in several categories, galleries, etc. I would love, love, love to block this person on my searches considering he/she has the same email with different numbers to it. That'd be like me calling myself nelb1, nelb2, nelb3, etc. and posting thousands of auctions.
Right now the only satisfaction I have is reporting this person to our mutual supplier as I strongly think copyrighted images are being used without permission to promote the seller's available items.
I'm glad I'm not alone. I get tired of trying to see how other sellers are doing selling similar products only to see this one person show up every time I click the link!
