I am buying something from someone off of Ebay. I asked the person if I should send a check or money order, and they said I should just send cash, that it would be much less hassle that way. I don't see what the big hassle is about cashing a money order. Anyway, I want to ask the seller if he will send the item to me COD, and I have never used COD before. Are there any extra fees to send something COD?

This seller is setting you up for scam city! Makes deal off ebaY. Requests payment in cash. He could easily ship you a box of rocks COD. And once you give the postman (or UPS) the money, they're YOUR rocks. Run, don't walk away from this loser!

Thanks for replying. Actually, the deal never went through Ebay at all. I made a request for something, and this person answered. But I think I will e-mail this person nicely tell him that I want to decline on the transaction, because although I am sure that he is an honest person, the fact that he turned down my offer to send a money order, check, or Paypal made me cautious (sp)?, because I have been scammed before (which I have). But I won't use the word scam when I e-mail him )

Gosh, I keep forgetting that even though I have been online for 4 years, I still haven't learned the right way to make smileys!
