Does anyone have a list of the reasons that you can use for cancelling one of your auctions? I know that ebay now has a drop down list and you can choose which reason applies to you.
But I looked on the site map and I can't find anywhere what the choices in the drop down list are. We don't have any auctions running at the moment otherwise I would use one of those just to experiment so I can see all the choices (without hitting the final cancel auction button).

# 7: The little voices in my head offered me a better price if I'd cancel the auction and sell it to them directly.
To seriously answer you, though -- I had to cancel an auction recently because I'd accidentally listed something twice, but I don't remember what the choices were. The one I used was something like "item is no longer available."

I just did this with one of mine, and the choices are:
The item was lost or broken.
The item is no longer available for sale.
There was an error in the minimum bid or Reserve amount.
There was an error in the listing.
It also says:
Note: On the next page, you may provide additional details about why you ended your listing early.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, everyone. Ask a question, get an answer, right?
I was highly doubting it but I was wondering if they possibly had a "technical glitch" or "ebay screw-up" choice.
The other discussion about auctions not getting indexed into search and ebay's advice to end your auction and relist made me wonder what one would use for a reason if you could only choose from the drop down list.
discoverybooks, thanks for going to the trouble to get the actual list. But I did enjoy all the answers given.

Just cancel the dang thing and don't ask questions.
Make up a bogus reason...that works for me.

#2 sorry.... dropped video in toilet....!
(this actually happened to me, I like to use the W-D 40 to get off stickers in the bathroom where there is a huge countertop. Uhhh, not big ENOUGH, I guess.)
Did you flush? Did you wash your hands? Who used the last of the tissue! Mom
