There is a regular bid, not dutch, the quanty is 2, on eBay. No mention in the bid about how many you are bidding on. If I bid am I bidding on one or two. Being the nice guy I am, I emailed the guy and he said the bid was for 1 and I could bid on 1 or both.

Does the item description say "two of" or something like that? Or is is just, "I've got two of these and am selling one..."
?
million questions going through my mind, are there other auction? (he may have two up for sale in other auctions.)
sellers sometimes forget to be very clear and outline opportunities for sales.

No, there is no mention of quanity in the discription. I'm sure he would owe the high bidder 2, because that is the quanity. I would bid, but I blew it when I emailed him.

No
you can break them up into as many individual auctions as you like.
Simaltaneously or sequentially
So it sounds like the seller wasn't as clear as he could have been.
Or was more conversational in tone and mentions he has two of the item.
I look at it this way, their his widgets, he can sell them any way he likes. Some items do better individually, some in dutch auctions.
