I had this bidder with only a 1 positive, won something from back in 1/01. positive from a reputable seller. Well this bidder outbids everyone today, and raises the price up high, and I emailed the bidder, and guess what, bidders aol email is no good!! What do I do? I contacted the 2nd bidder, asking if he wants it, but he told me since he isnt protected by ebays if something goes wrong, he isnt interested.

Is there anyway to let this bidder know their email is no good? At yahoo, sellers usually post a message on the bidder's feedback, saying their email is no good, so if they respond , feedback can be retracted, but I know ebays feedbacks cant be retracted. How do i go about letting this bidder know that I nor ebays cant contact s/he?

Pull their contact info, and drop a dime.

It could be that their mail box is "full." Or, that your ISP is being blocked by AOL for some reason. You could try using another email (I use Angelfire for this, there are lots of free email places) source to send your message. Or get another person with AOL to forward on your email. You could also request their contact info from eBay or leave a neutral "FB" informing them that your email isn't going through.

I'm on AOL if you would like for me to try forwarding your EOA notice. My e-mail address is [email protected].

I had this happen a few weeks ago, the buyer contacted me after a few days. They changed their email and forgot to change it with Ebay. I would give it a few days before you sell the item to someone else.

I had a similar thing happen not long ago -- bidder had lots of ++FB though. But for whatever reason I couldn't get mail to him -- I was getting his mail, he wasn't getting mine. I finally used my Flashmail account to email him, and I pulled his contact information. That got his attention, and he called me and I told him what was going on.

It was a $600+ sale, so well worth the trouble, and he was most appreciative of my efforts. Some kind of problem with his email server according to my ISP.

I would call them. I have done this several times.

If you can't contact them, notify ebay at Safeharbor, then NPB, then at least, get your money back FVF. Don't wast too much time. I get the feeling alot of ebays data is going bad, old names, non registered users and drop outs seem to be in fashion.
