Oh, good grief! Wish I had known about this before posting a few items. This can only mean trouble for auctions ending next weekend. Glad I make Thursday my major 10 day auction day, you've saved me lots of frustration. "Improvements" at ebay rarely are from the buyer and sellers viewpoint.

It looks to me like they're going to be rolling out the new Collectible category changes?

Get ready for your items to be tossed wherever eBay decides they're best suited.

Glad they told us! I'm gonna file for listing credits now since I won't be around most of the weekend when it hits the fan.

Yes, it's true -- eBay is finally implementing the long promised "auto extend auction" feature to discourage sniping.

Remember, you read it here first!

Barry,
Can you please tell if this is a "good" rumor, or your just playing with us?
Thanks

Barry - You are certainly the most charming trouble maker on the board.

I bet you could rile up a temple full of Zen Monks.

I went through a year with a lot of anger, fear and frustration before I did a major attitude adjustment and rearranged my affairs so as not to be financially depentent on eBay sales.

I now just accept disruption will be a constant with eBay, expect it to happen and switch into "Plan B". It's like adopting a Third World attitude about electric, phone or water service.

I'm fortunate that my circumstances allow me this alternative. I feel for the thousands of people who do need the immediate income for RL expenses.

Doing all the work of selling and just wanting eBay to be "open" so you can receive fair compensation for your efforts seem a reasonable expectation.

Unfortunatly it is not a reality of eBay selling.

LOL! Barry,

Sure..ebay can't manage to extend auctions right now when they've had an outage so they are going to add an auto-extend feature just to handle snipers???

R-I-G-H-T!

I've heard that eBay plans on very soon! This is a direct result of their still un-announced merger with, pending Justice Dept review!

Once they begin their push into, there will be no stopping those two! The really scarey thing is!

Just remember in the next few months: Tom told ya so!
