I am curious about the experiences of other people with this category. I occasionally have things that I think might go well in this category. But, I always try to find another category because it seems that it is already so full of gag gifts, warehouse clearance items, etc that I think my unique things might get lost there. What experiences/ideas do you have about this category? Thanks!

I listed a milk cap in that category once - it was for milk from tuberculin tested cows or something. It sold for $2.
I bought some weird stuff today I was thinking about listing in that category. I find myself checking it out when I need a chuckle ....

I had 2 books on anti-gravity that where obviously written for the lunatic fringe. I listed them by:
Titles
Number of pages
Discribed the condition
and listed the chapters by name (This alone would have told you it belonged in the Weird Stuff catagory)

I've listed a few items in this category...always with success. Since things in this category are generally "odd/one-of-a-kind", I think people are more likely to look at each item...as opposed to a category where there are lots of similiar items and buyers might just "scan" the listings. Good luck!

I've sold one item in that catagory. It was a hand-made coffee mug with the face of a gargoyle on it. It did about what I expected.
If you are not sure what catagory to use for an item, I would use "weird stuff" if it's applicable. If some one is searching for what ever it is, they will most likely find it no matter where you put it. But I also think you get a lot of exposure from people who are just browsing since that seems to be a popular place to browse.

Thanks for the feedback. I did end up relisting one thing up for sale in the Weird Stuff--Slightly Unusual category. I look forward to seeing the outcome. It already has had more hits on the first day than this same item did in another "regular" category the first time around. Thanks again.
