I have recently signed up with ecount. At this time, they are set up to mail you payments direct to your home.So far no one has paid me this way. Has anyone had a response from cutomers yet on this type of payment? They charge $1 to have a check sent to me, but that's still cheaper than Paypal, since there are no costs at this time for each sale.
Any thoughts on this place?

regarding money issues: it seems people stay with what is known and 'reasonably' secure. For us that is Paypal, checks, and Billpoint in that order...

I've been using Ecount for quite a while. I request a check about once a month, so it only costst me $1 per month. No problems yet!

Executive girl I hope you see this. Tell me did you have much of a problem when you list ecount in your ad for credit card payments and dropped paypal in your ads? Did you have people insisting on paypal and not wanting to use ecount?

Hi JLB, I used Paypal for a long time and closed my account with them in November. I still get people asking me if they can pay with paypal - or even worse - they just send their paypal payments to my non-existant paypal account and then I tell them they have to cancel it and pay using a different method.
I don't ONLY accept Ecount - I offer several other payment options (mostly online). I don't have a LOT of customrs who use Ecount - just here and there. I just list all the payments I accept and let them choose which one they prefer. Most of them prefer Billpoint, but on occasion I get someone who doesn't like Billpoint and they use Ecount, or another one of the methods I accept.
If you are worried about not getting bids for not accepting Paypal - don't worry about it! As long as you offer another online credit card payment method they will pay using that instead. My sales did not decline at all when I said NO MORE PAYPAL.

Thanks for the advice so much. I am being nickeled and dimed out of any profit from ebay my listing program and all the paypal fees. I don't want to give up my listing program and I want to offer credit card services and cut my costs there so I will try an ecount only week. I love doing ebay but have to justify being on the computer so much by making some money LOL

I suggest you looked into Citibank's C2it. The fee is paid by the customer and is only 1%. If you want to keep the customer happy, offer a 1% discount. Still cheaper than any of the others. For the first three months of opening an account is free, so your newbie customers pay nothing. And it is backed by a real bank, so there should be a higher confidence level.
