Couldn't figure what they were doing to my invoices the other night! Well... now it's clear (as mud)!
Dear Billpoint Seller:
We are writing as a courtesy notice to inform you of a processing problem that HAS BEEN CORRECTED. This processing problem affected some of your buyer(s)' Billpoint transactions and we wanted to anticipate questions that you may have. We, therefore, prepared this email to provide the pertinent details to you.
This processing error occurred on 04/25/2001 between 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time. During this time, Billpoint experienced a software problem that caused some of your buyer(s)' transactions to be processed multiple times. This multiple processing triggerred duplicate payment confirmation e-mails to both you and your buyer(s). WE HAVE REVERSED THE DUPLICATE TRANSACTIONS AND PROCESSED A SINGLE SUCCESSFUL TRANSACTION. You will, therefore, see one approved order in your Billpoint Sales History and cancelled orders for the duplicate transactions that we corrected. Rest assured that your buyer(s) did successfully complete payment and feel free to fulfill the order(s) after performing your safe commerce checks, suggested in your Billpoint payment confirmation emails and described on the following page:
The Billpoint engineers were able to act quickly to cancel the duplicate orders and have corrected the situation which created the duplicates. Additionally, we have also sent your buyer(s) a similar communication, informing them of this problem, its resolution and that we have advised you to fulfill the order per your standard Billpoint operating procedures.
