Ebay reminds me of an old Rambler that I once owned - it was always interesting to see how long it could go before breaking down.
That car was very imaginative with it's faults - for example if it was raining and the windshield wipers were on the wipers would stop working temporarily whenever rounding a left-hand turn - yep that's right! -- the wipers would only stop when turning left and nobody could figure that one out, even some very good mechanics. I wonder if ebay is a little bit like that old Rambler?
I still don't understand why anyone would pay $46 a share for ebay, especially in the summer when sales of collectibles are traditionally slow - might be a good stock to short? Who knows - when every other Internet flash-in-the-pan has hit the skids I just don't see that the ebay few cents per share can mean much, especially in light of their big liabilities with Butterfields and Half.com... guess I better be careful what I say though as I hear Pierre has some pretty mean attorneys on staff!
