Ebay is emailing me telling me they worked hard to correct things and act as if they are fully operational..why do they continue to lie. I am a long time user and sick of it. Sure, you say go to another site. Problem is, unless you can take everyone with you it doesn't work. You can list your auctions at podunk.com, but no one is there. A no win situation. Wish there was an alternative to liers like Ebay.

People Complained Of The Outage But My Bids Still Took It Just Took Reloading A Couple Times.
My Friends With 56K Modems Couldn't Get It But My DSL Service Loaded Pages With Minimal Delays.
It Was Only Ok But Not A Disaster.

Oh, so thats how it works.
The one with the bestest and fastest modem speed...... wins.
Well that SUCKS big time if you ask me.
Not everyone can afford the luxury of a high speed modem.

Big business doesn't consider what they do lying. It's called spin or covering their a$$. Because money and possible competitors are always involved, lying is a part of doing business. Advertising and marketing departments take common everyday lying and turn it into an art form. Ever wonder anymore how EVERY product could possibly be number one or the best? It's not possible and yet that's what we are told. Smiles are brighter, teeth are whiter, cars are sexier (cars have sex appeal?) strong bodies are built twelve ways.
Don't expect the truth from big business. It's not part of the game. But it can be some really great entertainment and if you laugh instead of cry, you'll be better off. Remember, if we didn't buy all their crap, the lies wouldn't be perceived as working and maybe, just maybe things would be different?

Some people, and companies are just a collection of people with the top management setting the standards of conduct, acknowledge problems and mistakes, correct the concerns and accept the financial consequences of their actions.
Others deny responsibility and avoid the monetary losses of their actions. This improves short term profits while protecting the stock price and the reputation of large companies that have their stock traded on exchanges.
Many people may be fooled for a short time but long term customers and the investment community come to understand the standards and practices of management.
Each person comes to their own perception of people based on personal experiences. Mine, based on several years of dealing with eBay, has changed and while I once had trust in the company I now feel the present management has neither integrity nor creditability.
I don't deny that they have built a very profitable business and offer the best, by far, of the venues for selling items. I just don't trust or believe anything they say.
To the extent my feelings are shared by others it will be interesting to see what happens when the time arrives that ebay no longer has a virtual monopoly in the marketplace and it is dependent on the satisfaction and loyalty of customers to maintain market share.
Being perfect isn't a choice. Everyone makes mistakes, has faults and experiences failures.
Being honest and responsible is a choice.
I believe the repeated actions of eBay clearly demostrate what choice they have made.
