Ok..I can't even believe this..
I don't sell on Ebay that often. I just sell once in awhile to get rid of the clutter in my house.
I had 4 auctions out of 21 end up with deadbeat bidders. Its been almost 60 days since those auctions closed!
3 of the auctions were won by a woman who does nasty retaliatory negs. (all posted within the last month and a half)
I negged the user who won one of the auctions and filed for FVF because they did not contact me. The lady who won 3 of the auctions did contact me to say payment was on its way..so deciding to be nice, I waited.
Now its 3 weeks later..no payment..ebay won't let me file for FVF becuase they say I didn't file NPB alerts (which I DID).
So do I neg and risk getting 3 retaliatory negs in a row?? My feedback is only in the 40s..would that totally kill me??
I want to do the right thing here..but Ebays feedback system really leaves small sellers like me in a bit of a dilemma!

Oh and I just wanted to mention..
the neg I left was the first I've ever had to leave and I felt bad doing it. I knew though that it was the right thing to do.
Not sure if I'm willing to take 3 negs in a row though for a nasty deadbeat. (and they would be my first negs I've recieved too)

ack, sorry you're having a rough time. if it's any consolation, seems like a lot of us are having more than usual deadbeats or late payers lately.
is it possible you forgot and didn't file the npbs with this 3xs loser woman? unless someone more experienced jumps in and says otherwise, i'd file 'em on her now. as to negging her, with only 40 positives and no negs, her having a history of leaving nasty retaliatories and being able to zap you 3 times, i'd pass on negging her.

I have never left a neg for a deadbeat and I never will under the current feedback system. (Dubyasdaman, did I get that right?)
Newebay: Our colleague, Dubyasdaman, makes the argument that a neg doesn't hurt a buyer at all, but does tremendous harm to a Seller. Why risk your business over a guaranteed retaliatory neg, or two, or three? There are others who argue it is your duty to the Ebay community to neg deadbeats and to take your return negs like a trooper.
I am in Dubyas's camp. However, you must decide this for yourself. Good luck.

As much as I hate to type the phrase "Dubyasdaman" I have to concur.
No offense dubya the ebayer/AW poster!
I can risk a neg as a bidder, and have, with zero hassle. Maybe once my selling feedback approaches my bidder feedback, I can do it with aplomb. My sense of "right" makes me know a neg is a good thing, but I have gotten a retaliatory neg as a bidder and no matter what kind of lie they put down, ebay won't remove it!
But my volume is not able to "bury" a negative. I am a little more active a seller than you Newebay, but for me I don't want to miss customers.

File for those fees now. Do not wait another five minutes. After you wait for the ten days are up, file for your final value fees.
She will now have three npb after her name. One more and she is toast No need to worry about getting a neg from the soon to be departed.
