I knew this was trouble from the start, Whenever I sell and item $150 and up deadbeats just come out.
This bidder wins widget for $300+ I receive an email after the EOA notice goes out say in ""Before I pay I have a few questions...""
He then explains that he decided he doesn't want the item and I should relist it.
WTF is up with these people.
I'm going to NPB FVF Relist and NEG his sorry but I don't care if I take a neg for it

You GO, Joe! Stick it to him. Maybe next time he'll ask first and bid second. Fix it so he can't bid on your auctions in the future.

What about the ones who ask a thousand questions and never bid? Then when the auction is over, they email you that they didnt have a chance to bid (too busy asking stupid questions) and do you have another one to sell them.
I once posted a new 17 inch monitor with 3 year warranty. The same jerk asked (in a number of separate emails) is it new or used? is it 17 inch or 15 inch? how long is the warranty?

I felt like answering: Are you really asking these questions or just pulling my leg? Are you really interested or just bored? How long have you been off your medication?

Isn't this site a good place to vent?

Almost (but not quite) as bad, I got an email last night (at 8:43:10) asking a question about an auction that was ending at 8:44:42.

Yeah, they are suppose to ask questions before the auction is over, and did, but sheeeshh...

I love dumb questions from bidders. Sometimes I don't mind questions but I get some really good ones.
I had some cat food coupons I listed. I specify when they expire and what they are good for. Mind you I REPEAT myself in the title and the listing. It is SO clear.
Someone asks are these good on cat food?
Well yes...
sigh!

Question: ...how big is 5mm.

Answer: I'm not sure. I'll let you know after I get my ruler and measure it.

LOl. . . all of your posts really cracked me up with my coffee this morning.

I did this once and my wife said i was "mean spirited."

In my tos i stated very clearly twice that Ido not accept personal checks. Winning bidder e-mails, say how happy they are to find the widget blah, blah, blah. and by the way you will take a personal check won't you?

I simply answered back, "I don't know. I can't read either."

Funny stuff. I once had a person interested in a set of collectible Planet of the Apes cards. He asked me if I'd stop the auction and take $60 for them. I politely refused and pointed out that they were still well below the price he was offering. Anyway, he never bid, the set closed for a disappointing $45 and if he had just bid, he would have saved himself almost 25%. Go figure...

BROOKLYNGUY--

Manufacturer's coupons are big business. People trade them not only on Ebay, but also on various frugality type websites. My coupon auctions on Ebay usually go quite well. In fact I have a set of grocery coupons up right now.

Also popular are discount certificates that certain stores send out in the mail to "preferred customers". These usually do pretty well on Ebay for me too.

squinkle99 is right. I too auction off coupons. They are usually great sellers. Very popular item.
