What do ya think? Suppose there is a market for these FOSTORIA Boxes. They are marked what is suppose to go in them. One has a jewelers sticker on it.
Also...can anyone date these for me?

I was at an auction a couple of weeks back and aquired several of her many pieces of American Fostoria, some with boxes. Somehow these got included in my batch.

Worth anything or not?

I sold an empty PRADA box on Ebay last year. Of course, I made it abundantly clear in the auction that the box was empty. It sold for just over $5.00 as I remember. I had gotten it out of a 'FREE' box at a yard sale. I suspected that maybe someone wanted it as an interesting item that sort of represented what was popular in consumerism in this era. OK, maybe that was a little too deep. Anyway, we both walked away from the deal happy. Good luck.

I don't know about these, but empty rolex boxes bring GOOD money on ebay. I only sold one of them, and still wonder what the buyer did with it...

Worth a chance. Original boxes for just about any popular collectible should bring some interest. Usually adds some value when present with the item, so why wouldn't someone want the empty original boxes?

I would give it a try. I've had several inquiries when selling vintage items for the box. They already had the plates, bowls, etc but were looking for box only.

Packer-- I hope you will post them and let us know what happens. You never know...

I sold an M&M's box/container (it was only about 10 years old or so) for about $20-- not the same thing I know but still... you just never know what people will get excited about.
Update us sometime. I think it is interesting.
Thanks!

Give it a try. When I go to auctions that have Hallmarks, they sell the ornament that come with the boxes and then they sell just the empty boxes. I always figure there may be someone wanting a box to make their collectible complete AND worth more.

Seriously-the empty boxes are a desirable item to put on ebay.

One of my first sales on eBay was an empty box...I got $12 dollars for an empty box of Doctor Who bubble bath (the box was shaped like the TARDIS).

Last summer I got $70 for an empty box...an original box to an Aurora Model Kit from the early sixties.

Thanks everyone,
There going on tonight. I've been taking pictures all day of the fostoria dishes to list so now would be the time to direct them to the boxes.
I'll let ya know how we fair.
I'm listing them seperately, as one person may not have a need for all three.
