I registered with eBay, billpoint earlier this year, and so far so good, I thought.
My computer crashed shortly afteward, so I've lost my original confirmations from eBay.
Today, in my email I receive a letter from their collections dept. It's my last chance, although this is the first I've heard from them. There have been many requests to settle my account. News to me.
I will be suspended within two weeks if I don't pay up. However, their own website shows my credit card is on file, and payment was put through on 27 April. The balance is considerably less than what they want me to pay.
There's also a debit to my credit card statement back in February for what I owed.
They've given me links to make a one-time online payment, and a fax number if I want to fax my credit card info.
The real kicker is at the bottom of the letter. It says "Please do not reply to this notice as you will not receive a response".
