I'm being charged back (plus the $10 fee, of course) for a sale made last *November* to a buyer in France. I've since found out that a number of sellers are facing similar chargebacks on this account. Buyer has 100+ feedback, an active eBay account, and we all shipped to the address furnished by Billpoint.
I would have thought that there would be some time limit on charge backs, or that some sort of common sense would prevail (We couldn't ALL have stiffed this buyer...who, by the way, left us all glowing feedback!)
Has anyone else here successfull (or not) defended against such a charge back? Is there any hope of winning this, or should I just throw up my hands and be grateful I'm not one of the sellers who shipped dozens and dozens of items to this buyer?
And last, but not least...if you're another seller who got burned in this scam, could you please send me an email?
I'd appreciate it if you could contact me at [email protected]. I'd love to compare notes here and see if this is the same person or address. The MO sounds awfully similar, although we didn't have the Florida connection.
