Here's a good one.
Auction ends February 18th.
March 10th, payment not received, I send bidder a NPBA. Bidder promises replacement payment will be right in mail, says doesn't understand why I didn't get it, sent it out right after auction ended. So I send the item BEFORE receiving payment (sale was worth $10).
Waiting, waiting, no payment, another e-mail, still no payment, I send "final" notice April 2nd, no payment or e-mail reply, so, finally I leave negative feedback on April 25th.
So what do you think happens?
Wait for it...
The ORIGINAL payment check arrives today, check dated Feb. 22, envelope POST-MARKED Feb. 23 -- either the U.S. or Canadian post office (this was coming U.S. to Canada) screwed up royally & it took 9 weeks to get to British Columbia from Pennsylvania.

I think all you could do in a situation like that is ask them to respond to your NEG so you could leave a POSITIVE follow-up statement on their feedback.

It's been awhile but, the last time I had that happen to me, I filed an appeal on the buyers behalf for the removal of the NPB ding and invited them to respond to my negative so I could follow up with comments relating the positive outcome...
If those functionalities are still in place, that's what I would do...
Of course, it'll mean paying the FVF on the item...

I would apologize profusely, and hope she doesn't leave you one in return. Or has she already?? I think you were justified if she didn't contact you. Was she a newbie....I tend to turn the other cheek at $10.00 or less. Not worth a retaliatory neg. Don't be a nice guy and send without payment next time. )
