I purchased this Hall Teapot this afternoon. I can't find it in my Hall price book. Anyone know what they call it or design. The color is either Daffodil or Canary. They are very similar and I'm not sure what color to call it. Any information greatly apprciated! Just click on these links for photographs Joe

Joe, I have no clue whatsoever. I'm replying to your message to bump this up to the top, hoping someone else can help you. Good luck. Adele

Hi Joe,
Found your teapot in my older (1989) Hall China book on page 197. Your's is called the New York teapot, referring to its shape.

It was added to the Gold decorated line from the institutional line in 1920 and became one of the most successful of all Hall teapots. It can be found in a variety of colors, sizes (9) and decorations (paisley, Dresden, game bird, etc.) than any other Hall teapot.

Those with the daisy type motif (called Gold Label Decoration) like yours came in turquoise, black, pink, matte pink, ivory and cadet blue. Looks like your teapot came in the 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 cup sizes.

Hope this helps.

Good Morning Joe,

My sister-in-law has borrowed my recent Hall China book. Perhaps someone else out there has one and can look it up and tell you current prices.

Here are the prices listed in the 1989 book for the "New York Teapot" with "Gold Label" Decoration:

1-2 cup $27-$32
3-4 cup $27-$32
6-8 cup $27-$30
10-12 cup $27-$32

Apparently they did not offer the creamer & sugar in the Gold Label.

Hello again Joe,

I just searched on eBay to see what kind of prices they are offering for your teapot. Seems sellers are listing their items that are identified on the bottom with a Hall gold mark/stamp as Gold Label, but they are not truly the gold decorated "Gold Label" teapot like yours. Confusing huh?

Yours is called Gold Label, whereas theirs just has the gold Hall stamp on the bottom.

Edited to add:
There is a 4-cup tepaot like yours for sale on eBay. They call it a Hall teapot gold daisies, but they have it listed under Anchor Hocking???

Hope this helps.

Brie49: Barbara, thank you again! When you say Gold Label, do you mean that the label marking and design are gold, therefore the designated "Gold Label", whereas the "gold label" that others as misrespresenting have only the "gold label" and no gold design, handle and spout? Am I correct? Why would they list a Hall item under Anchor Hocking? Please excuse all these questions but I don't have a lot of knowledge about Hall Teapots. I appreciate all your help and time.

Once again, if anyone else can contribute anything, please do!! Thanks!

Barbara, thank you again for your help! If you would prefer, you can e-mail me at [email protected] Thank You! Joe
