I purchased an item on eBay over the weekend and paid using Billpoint. Today I received this email from the seller.

Thanks for the order.
It usually takes 2 days for Billpoint to clear. I will ship as soon as it
does.

By clear, does the seller mean for my credit card payment to clear Billpoint or is this seller holding my item until the funds are deposited into his bank account?

What is the official policy on shipping when a payment is made using Billpoint?

Thanks!

I can only assume he is waiting for the 'deposit' which takes about 3 days. Weird thing is Billpoint does not actually send a deposit confirm. They just do it.
Once Ebay bills your credit card,... I ship my items.
Some sellers are super cautious I guess.

I usually ship when I get payment confirmation but it seems like it takes a week to actually hit my bank account. I've had mailed checks hit my account faster. I'll live with it though. Somebody's culling some nice interest off Billpoint payments.
