Have 2256 Positive feedback and now a neg from a total jerk that tried to rip me off. I was going to file for mail fraud charges against him but gave him one last chance to refund my money. I received the refund after long wait. Now I have a neg. Should have filed charges against him. I am so mad. Sorry for the vent....but I do feel better. It was a nice run while it lasted.

Are you mainly a seller or bidder?

I am 99.9% seller but received the neg on an item I bought. Should have used a different ID to buy with. Live and learn!

Thanks much. Back in the "Good Ol' Days" (early 1997) I could have had this guy booted in no time. After I bought the item he was suspended from ebay for a while but is back on now. Ebay keeps letting the wrong people back.

Gosh, I can't believe you haven't had one before now. Do you neg all of the deadbeat bidders? I have my 2 negs from retalitory feedback and both were bidders who backed out!

First, congrats on the 2000+ positives. That feat alone deserves a round of applause!
As for the negative......we all know it's coming, sooner or later. We're around 1000 positives and I expect anyday to see the first from some goofball for not SWAKing a package or something stupid like that.

We got a neutral a few weeks ago with the explaination...

FAST SHIPPING, PRODUCT JUST OK

"Just ok".....I emailed the ebay newbie (8 pos, 1 neg) and informed them that if everything that we ever purchased on ebay was "just ok" I would be VERY happy.

I was upset with the neutral, can't imagine what the first neg will do.

Anyway, congrats again on your great run.

I would be happy to buy from you!

You did mention that the member that left the Negative had been suspended and reinstated. Depending on the time frame and situation, this may apply to you.

I took it from the eBay feedback removal policy, which can be found in the help section on eBay.

Circumstances Where eBay Will Consider Removing Feedback

"eBay may give special consideration to remove feedback upon request from members if the listing ended before the member was suspended, but the feedback was left after we reinstated the member."

About damn time you got a neg........if you mainly sell you surely have had deadbeats, did you not leave them negs...i suspect not or else you would have gotten a retalitory neg by now...if you did not leave a neg for all deadbeats then i have no sympathy for you because you have been running scared ofthe neg all along.

If nothing else make sure you give a good response. Frankly, at that ratio, no bidder or seller in their right mind cares about a single neg you might have. Hang in there.

Refusing to neg deadbeats isn't "wimping out". It's good business sense.

Hi Patscouch,

I hate to burst your bubble that all sellers who have perfect feedback don't leave negs.

I have over 1500 with out a neg and I have left at least 20+ on deadbeats.

I sell mostly collectibles so I am lucky that I don't get a alot of non payers, but I always file a nbpa and if they aren't narud by the time I file the final fee credit, I will most certainly leave a non emtional state the facts NEG!

Hi Toplabrat,
Sorry to hear of this blemish, It is hard but at least it is over. I am amazed I have gotten as far as I have with out one. I know the day is coming and dread it but that is life on ebay and I never give too much thought as a buyer to negs unless there are a lot, I would recommend a buyer id, I have one but sometimes if I am signed in I use my seller for ease.
Nice to have the option,

Blessings from the wheatfields of Kansas,
