Hello eastwest. IMO, links to third party galleries will eventually be banned. I believe the recent changes regarding links in auction listings is directly related to eBay's storefronts which are coming soon. They want to create a NEED for these storefronts so they can gain more revenue and the best way to accomplish that is to not allow links to other websites on the auction listing page. This will force many users who already have a website to PAY for ebay's storefront in order to get exposure in the auction listing.
The removal of email links is also an effective method of stopping sellers from advertising their websites or other items for sale via email. EBay actually believes we belong to them.
It's called GREED!!

Then we should ask eBay for bennies!
I want in on eBay's 401(k), stock options, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, paid vacation time, sick days, ---oh yeah, and a hefty weekly paycheck, signed by Meg!

According to the latest rules:
You may also link to a page where information relating to your eBay items is grouped in a picture gallery or similar format so long as such page otherwise complies with these policies. This page may
also contain links to other pages that offer items for sale outside of eBay.
But I agree with Blanche, I'm sure eBay will some day soon have their own Personal Pay Per View Gallery that ALL sellers will be forced to use, if they in fact want a Personal gallery on their auction listings.
