Is Ebay different overseas? I got an email from Egypt directly from a bidder without having to go through the ebay system. I started to ask the bidder but his question was "Would you please let me know the price you require for it". I hated to break it to him that this was an auction thing going on here.

I'd like to know about the differences in the Ebay format for overseas users also.
My DH and I have just recently branched out into international sales and we like to check out the feedback of our buyers. Our buyers have been excellent so far. We are just curious about what kind of transactions are going on around the world, so we take an in-depth look at the feedback of our international bidders once in awhile.
Well, when we look at the feedback of international bidders, the usual stuff is found EXCEPT an item number and link to the specific auction! I would understand if Ebay reuses the auction numbers for each "realm of Ebay", but I really want to see the goodies that people are buying and selling far away! (Yes, I am a bit nosy in this respect I suppose. Call it internet people watching if you like.)

AH-HA! Question solved. Through the auction watch storefront they get your email address...........
"You are asking how I got your e-mail address. I was visiting the e-bay site,
which I find a very interesting site, and was going through the items
available on XXXXX and come across your book. I checked it and just
underneath the pic of the book I clicked on "View my other auctions at
http://shop.auctionwatch.com/glassgrl" to have a look on your other auctions
and there I found your e-mail address."

squinkle99,
I believe that many countries, especially in the EU, have stronger privacy laws than the USA. Revealing what a bidder in say Germany has bid on or won in an eBay auction is illegal.
