I know there are a lot of booksellers that
come thru here so here's a question.

I have an old childrens book "Bright Jewels for the Little People" edited by Mary Murdock,
published by Elliot and Beezley,Chicago and Philadelphia, 1889.

On the back of the title page is "Copyright L.T. Palmer"

I have checked addall, Bibliofind and bookfinder and come up empty. Can anyone tell me a place to look or anything about this book?

You might also try abe.com.

Good luck.

I just checked addALL and found it with just typing in "Bright Jewels", try it again, and you'll find a few - good luck !

Not what I have. Similar title , but different publisher, author, editor.

I'll keep looking. Your help is appreciated.

Interesting question. I spent an hour on ABE and GOOGLE and came up with - nothing. The fact that I couldn't find anything about Mary
Murdock, and the fact that this is edited by
her rather than written by her is a negative.
I did find 200 books on ABE by the publisher.
I sorted on price and looked thru them and found nothing very valuable. You didn't say what the book looked like. If the book is extraordinarily beautiful or illustrated by a
famous illustrator then there is some hope, otherwise, I'd say the book is of little value. But I could be wrong.
