Eastern European, Slavic language. My best guess is Hungarian or Romanian. I dealt with Hungarians while stationed with the army in Germany and Hungarian looks quite a bit like this. Of course, could be Yugoslavian also.

It looks Slovic but don't take my word for it.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but wasn't certain. Kinda like Russian, but not quite.
OK, now for the hard part, what's it say?

Hi reddeer,
I believe it's Czech. Rezbar means carver or sculptor. I think Rajec might be someone's name. Cena means cost or price. And I think Cis. Vyr. just means like a product number. Vyrabeni means manufacture and cislice means number.
Hope this helps.

It is Therisczecan, which is a sub-dialect of a less common eastern dialect in the Ukrane. It is only spoken by about 50,000 people and is a dying language, so I would imagine this item is--or will be, quite rare.

jerry12 perhaps not...the "Coalition To Preserve Therisczecan" has started really encouraging the current Therisczecan speakers to increase their numbers by offering all sorts of incentives. They hope to increase their numbers significantly over the next 3-4 years.

Only if their fishing industry recovers so there is an economic base. Things look bad for that and they will probably be dispersed as a people if they don't ban trolling.

Hi reddeer. Is that some sort of a label? I'm certain the language is Slovak and I think it's Czech. The word "cena" means PRICE; COST; FIGURE; QUOTATION; VALUE; RATE; WORTH; WORTHINESS; TARIFF; PRIZE; PRISE; AWARD; PURSE; PREMIUM; COSTS; CHARGES; VALUATION; MERIT in Czech and USVD usually refers to a power supply. The other words are either proper names or abbreviations and weren't listed in the language dictionaries.
Hey jerry12, where've you been? We could use a good laugh right about now so maybe it's time for one of your adventures.
Blanche
