I have my former college saved as a favorite search. Now there is a new seller who says in each auction he puts up (and there is a lot of them!) that he collects memorabilia from XXXXX school. Now when I go to look at the stuff from my school, I see all his auctions. Ebay says this is perfectly fine, but it seems to me it is just another type of keyword spamming. Listings from my school have increased from an average of 20 auctions to almost 200 because of this man's 'looking for xxxx stuff' in his auctions. If I did that, my auctions would be cancelled.

Keep complaining to safe harbor, eventually you might get lucky. Try complaining about key word spamming, and also offsite selling.

is there some unique word he uses in his auctions that you can use to filter him out of your searches?
btw, jenndiggy, i feel i owe you an apology. i really didn't mean to be flippant when i posted on your thread about the odd things you received in the mail. it's just that i'd come directly from reading andy's pranks to your thread. anyway, i realize you were upset, and i apologize if my reply seemed inappropriate or insensitive.

Good idea. He sells one certain collectible, and I hadn't thought of filtering out those words. I'm mainly a seller than a bidder, and often don't think of the search tricks.
No prob with the comment you made yesterday. In fact, i don't even remember it. A friend told me that the person who sent payment probably thought what he was doing was a cool joke based on the item bought -- but 2 women living alone (I live with my mother), I get freaked out with weird stuff.
