Thats funny just today in my newspaper there is a story about a member of the "antiques roadshow" busted for fraud on the show.

Great now when the "expert" tells the person they have a unique one-of-a-kind super cool hand signed item worth 10 grand will they take him or her to a computer terminal and look up on eBay that there are 100 other itmes like it that did'nt even open for $1.99?

the ebay ad during the show is a very good, positive one regarding finding collectibles and antiques to buy on ebay

Guess they won't be showing the "Lamp" commercial during the Show.

Yep, I hope people find out that their stuff is worth "ebay value" instead of whatever absurd amount the Roadshow tells them.
We have a B&M antique shop. It gets tiring telling people that we won't buy their stuff for Roadshow values.
I like the Roadshow. I like learning about stuff that's new to me. I do not like dealing with people who have an overblown idea of what their item is worth just because, "I saw it on Antique Roadshow and mine is almost like that one."
