How many times does this happen? I receive payment and promptly mail an item. Two days later I get an email - "thank you for the fast shipment, the item is lovely and I just left great feedback for you at eBay". I flip over to read this new praise - guess what - nada. What do they use, invisible ink?
"I'm SO distraught. I went to look at the new feedback you left me and it's MISSING! I've contacted ebay to see if they can find who stole your feedback from my feedback report. ebay is contacting the FBI to see if there have been any hacker incidents. When the FBI contacts you regarding this, just give them the approximate time of day you left the feedback and they will handle it from there..Oh, and they might want to take a look at your computer to see if you have any viruses which might have made the feedback disappear."

Some people think responding in their own profile to feedback you left for them is the equivalent of leaving feedback for you. Tough call as to whether to enlighten them, though.

Maybe the Feedback Forum hiccuped at the wrong time and your feedback wasn't recorded but the bidder thought it was. This has happened to me more than once.
