I just checked my feedback on vrane.com, and here's what I come up with:

I've left 156 comments
I've received 139 comments
Total percentage received--89.1%

I read a couple of days ago that the average is about 65%, so I've got a smile on my face now!

I think one reason I get a lot of return feedback is that I ALWAYS e-mail the seller to let them know I've received the item, and also that I've left positive feedback for them (but I don't ask for return feedback). Of course, most of my numbers are for buying instead of selling--but as a seller I do e-mail the buyer to let them know that I've left feedback.

It would be interesting to know if feedback percentages are higher for buyers than for sellers. Anyone care to weigh in?

Without eBay, I might have a real life...

I've left 141 and received 116, that's over 82%! ALL FOR SELLING!
I use to think that was great but I noticed one a$$ that only gives FB when he sells and does not reciprocate with FB when he buys, consequently he has a FB% of over 150%. I can only assume the motive is to NOT help a seller in any way.
SO MUCH FOR YOUR (AND IT USE TO BE MINE) FB RATIO THEORY.
This fellow must be the greediest pri@& that ever walked the planet and yet he has the highest ratio I have come across.

If FB activity associated with buying could be distinguished from FB associated with selling, then we could read a bit more into it.

mine is 69 % it was like 66 % last ime I checked It will go up and down but if you look at folks with lots of transactions it seems to wind up in the 65 % range
I also thinks it varies by the type of things you are dealing in

88.3% and 100%

As a seller my feedback return is 88.3%. Feedback is left upon payment or when personal check clears.

As a buyer my feedback return is 100%. If the seller doesn't leave feedback neither do I.

I've left 1586 and received 1123, so that's at 70.8% for a little over 2 years of selling.

uaru,
I guess (at risk of be crucified by AW'ers) that most would have you believe that 61% is meant to mean that 61% of people that you left feedback for have felt strongly enough about their dealings with you to take the time to also leave you feedback.
BUT
As I pointed out earlier, it doesn't mean that at all, because anybody can inflate that % by not leaving a person FB that has done so for them.
FURTHER
This FB could be solicited or extorted, there is no way of knowing for a 3rd party.

You are correct austbounty ..
these figure are also altered by the way some ebee’s
use the feedback forum...like me...40%
of my auctions are multiples 3 4 5 at a time
I know that only one feedback is counted toward
feedback rating......so if I have one winner of 5 auctions
I only feedback them once for all five under one auction number
but in return the same winner may feedback me 5 times under all 5
auction numbers...screwing up the percentage ratio...

HI UARU......
HOW YA BEEN?

Thanks austbounty,

I understood the percentages being given but even with a passing glance I couldn't see 3987 being 61% of 7975, if that is what the 61% is suppose to represent.

I have left 4,122 feedbacks.
I have received 3 in return.
2 of which are from the same person.
The third is a neg.
No neutrals.

What am I doing wrong?

Jerry12,

I'd give you a positive feedback even if you failed to ship. Thanks for the funniest thing I've read today. Great one!

It is a typical response for people to wish to retain anonymity when purchasing sexual/marital aids, and for that reason are not responding to your feedback.
Have you by chance been selling this type of item?
Please do not take offence by my inquiry. I fully understand that it can be often quite unwittingly/innocently that people trade in these kind of items. Have you sold any; belts, straps, whips, edible body lotions or as per an earlier thread of yours- any good looking cows.

Under my buying ID it is 100%, I don't buy a huge amount and that may explain it.

Under my selling ID it is 72% and I've been selling on eBay since 1998.

It can't be MY "fault", I've NEVER owned a "fault"!

We haven't been treated to one of your "situations" in a while.

Need to come up with something good, the "real" ones people are bringing to AW lately are almost as good as yours!

I thought it would have been higher, but I never ask for FB so I guess they think I don't want it...

My main selling ID runs around 67%.

Interestingly, I looked at my total versus unique to discover almost 1/4 of my business is repeat customers! Yikes! I'm not chasing that new star as fast as I thought!

My feedback comes in batches. When I was waiting for my star to change colors, I could not even buy feedback. Then, right after it changes color, I get a bunch within 5 minutes. Maybe it's got something to do with biorythms or moon cycle or something. My percentage for given versus received is ~ 70%.

I am a seller and have a whopping
78%.

Someone always comes up with something neat to do. At least this time we are not following our feedback back to the same person that sold a Pez. Here is mine.
