I'd been selling a few clothing items lately and I like to use tissue paper (and a protective plastic bag) to pack them because I think it looks so much nicer that way. I've been using tissue paper I had stored away, but I'm almost out.
When I look for tissue paper at the store it's always in tiny quantities and very expensive. Does anyone know where I can get larger quantities at a reasonable price?

shippingsupply.com and brasspack.com are good sources.
Also, I have purchased tons of tissue paper in all sorts of colors from a seller that is located in Washington. They sell in large quantities for an excellent prices. Am still looking for their name.
PS...just type in "tissue paper" on search!

I buy big packages from my local Sam's store, but perhaps other warehouse-type stores also carry it. It seems like I always run out and buy more around Christmas, so I don't know if this item is stocked all year round, or only during the holidays. My Sam's store stocks it near the wrapping paper.

Wow! Shipping supply's tissue paper is high!!! I use City Paper - [email protected]. This is what I usually pay:
white tissue paper 15"x20" - 1000 sheets $10.40
white tissue paper 18"x27" - 960 sheets $13.50
They have wonderful customer service (and EXCELLENT prices on other things as well!), and I usually get my order within a week.
Give them a try.....
ps - as I was posting this reply,UPS rang my doorbell with an order from them - 36 rolls of 2"x55 yards clear packaging tape for $15.84! Just had to share another great bargain with them!

It is kind of late for this but I buy my tissue paper the day after Christmas when everything is half price. If you have a paper outlet store try there. I wrap all my items in tissue paper to look nice.

RainyBear,
I don't sell a lot of clothing but I use tissue for other items so like Libra63, I buy it after Christmas when it's marked way down! Also a great time to pick up bows, wrapping paper & a ton of other stuff you might need during the year.
Another hint is to buy Christmas paper towels. WalMart had them down to 10 cents a roll after Christmas. The spill I'm wiping up doesn't care what's on the paper towel.

I bought oodles of tissue paper (white) after Christmas at walmart. It was a good price BEFORE it was marked down. Wait til a day or so after Christmas, and it is almost a steal!!!!

The major chain of dollar stores in my area often sells large packages of plain white tissue paper. I think it's either 50 or 100 sheets to a package. They almost always have it -- I think it's a regular item for them, rather than a closeout.

Wow, thanks for all the great leads! I'll check those out -- and will remember the Christmastime (and after-Christmas) tissue sales, too.

Check out the Christmas stuff at yard sales. Seems there's often a box of odds and ends of wrap, tissue and gift boxes and such. Otherwise, I'll pick it up at our "everything's a dollar" store. Not as cheap as bulk but better than Wallyworld and such.

Last year I ran out of my Sam's club buy so I called around to local florist shops. Spoke to the manager and told them I wanted to buy 1000 sheets. Some never called back of course...others had so so prices. Much cheaper then the dollar type stores.
